PTP Coffee Talks
December 3, 2020
Grab a coffee and join us to network and talk informally about the Postsecondary Transition Plan (PTP) and your experiences this year with completing meaningful transition plans. This time will be spent to answer questions about the PTP, troubleshoot any difficulties you are experiencing with navigating the platform and/or to simply provide guidance on transition planning. These sessions are a follow-up to the PTP trainings that were held on August 12 and September 23 but are open to any that create and develop student PTPs.
Additional Information:
We have added an additional date for this series, with two times to choose from. This virtual “coffee talk” will feature an overview of the use of “other” when writing a student’s PTP. During this talk, TIG will provide an in-depth look at the common errors made when using the choice of “other” as well as tips on how to correct and/or use the tools in the application to avoid a non-compliant PTP. Discussion of monitoring your PTP reports prior to submitting them to DPI will also be discussed. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in conversation that will assist in creating meaningful PTPs for students with IEP’s. Highly encouraged for all who develop the PTP’s for students or monitor your district PTP reporting. We hope to see you April 15, 2021, for the morning session from 7:00-7:30 am or the afternoon session from 3:30-4:00 pm.
