Postsecondary Transition Plan (PTP) Training for Educators- CESA 1
October 16, 2026
This professional development workshop is designed to support new middle and high school special education teachers in developing compliant, individualized, and meaningful Postsecondary Transition Plans (PTPs) for the students they serve, however it is beneficial for all teachers creating PTPs that want to dive further into the application. Participants will explore practical strategies, tools, and resources to simplify the PTP development process while incorporating culturally responsive practices. The workshop will also emphasize meaningful family engagement as a critical component of effective transition planning. By the end of the session, educators will have a clear understanding of PTP requirements, available resources, and evidence-based strategies to help students with IEPs successfully prepare for life after high school.
